April 15th Business Networking function which was proudly sponsored by Tuckwell Recruitment was a resounding success with 50 plus people in attendance to hear the latest and greatest from Freight & Trade Alliance & DP World. FTA have been a regular presenter at our functions and they always have up to the moment information on hand for our guest.
It was great to welcome DP WORLD to the club and Ben Moke gave a great presentation on how DP World have been evolving over the past 12 months and some upcoming changes to their Melbourne operation with the closure of Coode Road shortly.
We also presented a cheque for $14,500.00 to the Cru Du Chat Support Group of Australia from the proceeds of our Charity Golf Day back in March. So far this year we have donated $18,500.00 with further donations to be confirmed shortly with additional funds raised from our events by end of financial year it will be well over $20,000.00!
Up coming events for the new CARGO CLUB OF AUSTRALIA are yet to be confirmed but there will be another business networking function before the end of the financial year, followed by a social event being our Winter Party in JULY!
An additional two more business networking functions during the spring finishing off the year with a HUGE CHRISTMAS PARTY.
This year we are changing things up with a brand new venue and the event will be held on a Friday night from 7pm so everyone can let their hair down and not worry about fronting up to work the next day.
